
In 2026, First Tee — Athens launched a program to help participants ages 10–18 build confidence, courtesy, and character beyond the golf course — by learning and practicing modern etiquette, leadership, and social skills in a fun, interactive setting.
Program Goals
- Reinforce First Tee’s Key Commitments through social and life-skill contexts
- Teach participants how to present themselves confidently in social and professional environments
- Encourage respect, empathy, and teamwork across age groups
- Strengthen community partnerships through mentoring and hosting

First Impressions Matter
- Greetings, introductions, body language, and confidence
- Key Commitment: Building a Positive Self-Identity

Courteous Conversations
- How to engage respectfully, listen, and include others
- Key Commitment: Collaborating With Others
Session 3
Dining and Decorum
- Dining etiquette and social table manners
- Key Commitment: Using Good Judgement & Growing Through Challenge

Confidence in Action
- Review and practice leadership, gratitude, and public presence
- Activity: “Show What You Know” mini celebration with proper meal
